Garmin Nuvi 2460LMT Customer Reviews

I am thrilled with this GPS system. It took me a good four hours to set up everything when I got
it. I didn't like it, and a lot of other reviewers felt the same. But the reader of this review should know that
there is no getting around it. I got the new map and the software update while I was waiting. There are so many
benefits of this system, I can deal with some minor inconveniences.
The fact is that this product works like a charm. You can choose from a variety of choices. You'll
hear the street names spoken loud and clear. The routing is quick and you and add poi's to the route as well. The
voice commands work great. You should keep background noise to a min. The Bluetooth works great. I found that I can
call anyone with the voice commands and I never have to touch the GPS or my phone. I made quite a few calls, with
no issue.
I love the lane assist also. I used it three times while on the freeway. It will actually show you
a ramp and highlight of the lane that you should be in. Even before you get an icon that tells you when to turn
you'll get an arrow for that lane. You'll see these arrows brightly. I haven't used the traffic adviser yet. I love
the lifetime map updates. Really, there's not one bad thing I can say about it.
This GPS is amazing. I had to buy this because my last system wasn't map updatable. This is so easy
to use, and it has a lot of options that come with it. I would buy this again and again. I tried this out at Best
Buy to make sure that I would like it. I ended up buying this online, because it's cheaper this way. The only way
that this could be better, is if it had points of interest on the map just like my old Navigon.
After I had used my buddy's small screen Garmin, I decided that I wanted a larger screen version. I
found that it met my needs. I used it for a couple of trips and it worked alright. The traffic feature didn't pick
up anything although we went through traffic jams. The unit didn't pick up any of the issues that Google traffic
did.
Looking for points of interest by name can take a few moments. The places are often located
hundreds of miles from my current locale.
However, the start up takes a bit long. It takes up to a minute to load up the maps and to get it
ready for navigation. Sometimes the routings are a bit odd, but that's the case with any system. It gave me out of
the way routing once.
