As with all nüvis, you get Garmin reliability, the fast satellite lock of an integrated high-sensitivity receiver, a slim, pocket-sized design with a gorgeous display, an easy, intuitive interface, and detailed NAVTEQ maps for the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico with more than 6 million name-searchable points of interest. All of the 700-series navigators also feature a rich array of features including spoken directions in real street names, MP3 player and photo viewer, and an FM transmitter that will play voice prompts, MP3s, audio books, and more, directly through your vehicle's stereo system. The nüvi 760 and 770 add integrated traffic receivers and Bluetooth capability for hands-free calling. The nüvi 770 adds maps for Europe. The nüvi 780 adds enhanced MSN direct content capability..

"Every so often, something is invented which is truly useful and once used, it's hard to imagine life without it. I find this GPS is in that category. The Garmin Nuvi 760 is the first and only GPS I've ever owned. We recently returned from a 3 week road trip over many thousands of miles, and thanks to the Nuvi, we never took one wrong turn. While driving through cities and changing roads, the Nuvi even says in advance to stay right or stay left, which is very useful in unfamiliar territory. The Nuvi knew exactly where we were, even in gas stations, hotel or restaurant parking lots. The traffic receiver worked automatically when we entered an metropolitan area where it was available. The points of interest are amazing and I was able to find all kinds of places we needed. The only issue I had was a local one. For the fun of it, on the way home from our trip, I put in a via point of our local post office, so we could stop and pick up our accumulated mail before we got home. The Nuvi listed every tiny post office within many miles of our town, but did not have our main post office. It's a minor glitch for an otherwise superb gadget. It is super useful and has taken a load off our minds when traveling into unfamiliar areas."

"This unit is great and worth every penny. I went to Williamsburg, VA to take care of my two grandsons, 7 and 4, while my son and his wife went away. I was able to get so many places without any difficulty using the navigator. I would put in an address for where I wanted to go and it would take me there without any problems...once there, I would press add it to favorites and there it would be if we wanted to go there again. I was there a total of 11 days and every day I used the navigator as we routinely hiked 2-3 miles every morning, home for lunch and then in the afternoon and evening off for adventure. I would recommend this unit to all."

"To make a long story short, but hopefully helpful to someone interested. I have owned or had experience with Tom Tom, Magellan, Sony, and Harmon Kardon. I recently picked up the Garmin nuvi 760 this year. It is by FAR the best GPS system I have owned or ever used!! It has the fastest most detailed routing, and it is by far the most accurate unit I have ever used. It has taken me pretty much to the doorstep of every address I have thrown at it. TRUST me, for the price GRAB ONE! Please note that there is NO PERFECT GPS SYSTEM. This unit has been wonderful and has been right 99% of the time. It's never made a big mistake like I experienced with Tom Tom (STAY AWAY)."
