The TomTom GO 740 has the latest and greatest state of the art features. You can enter in the address using the touchscreen, or speak the address into the system and go anywhere. The TomTom GO 740 has the option of GO LIVE in which it can access traffic feeds; updated fuel prices, weather, and more. The new technology offers you very accurate calculations to find the fastest route no matter where you want to go. This TomTom is bluetooth compatible and very easy to customize, modify street names, street directions, points of interests, road speeds, and turn restrictions right from your own device. Standard the touchscreen is 4.3", high sensitivity GPS receiver, and 2 GB of internal memory. There is an expansion slot for a microSD card, but the card isn't included.

The TomTom GO 740 has features that would be really great to have. The fact that you can use the touchscreen or say in an address is really nice. You're able to keep your hands on the wheel and still program the GPS to where you want to go. The advanced lane guidance is a really nice feature to have. This helps to make sure when there are multiple directions, or multiple lanes you know exactly which lane you need to be in.

Knowing that there is traffic along your route before you hit it, and helping you to find a new route is nice. GO LIVE keeps you abreast of any traffic you may run into. GO LIVE will also help you to find the best gas prices, no matter where you are. Most people know the best gas prices in their own town, but now you can get the best gas prices along your route, or detour slightly to purchase gas.

Hook your TomTom GO 740 to your home computer, and you can make sure your using the latest maps. There is also a very neat feature that has a "Help Me!" emergency menu. Use it to find local towing companies, police, fire, etc, near you, no matter where you are. With the bluetooth capability, your telephone can be controlled through your GPS. If you have a text message, or a call you can now be notified through the GPS screen. Return the phone call, hands free right through your GPS.

People seem to love that you can download user made content. Also, you don't have to listen to the same annoying GPS voice that they all have, there are tons of voices to use. The overall flexibility and customization is a hit by all users. They also love the IQ routes. The IQ routes are a lot more accurate than most GPS routes.

Even though the TomTom GO 740 has a voice-activated menu to find the address you need to find, some people in their reviews complained they wished the other menus were voice activated. This is the biggest complaint, or wish that people have when they are using this GPS. Overall, this is a great GPS to own with lots of practical features.
