This GPS system is actually the second Garmin device I have purchased, and I do enjoy the ability to switch between my 5th Wheel/Truck Combo and my car. The GPS device takes the dimensions of your vehicle into account and through this it will determine just which route you should actually take. The device is a little expensive, and I wish they would drop that price if only a little, but so far it performs admirably.

I love the GPS. It mount is very easy to install and it works great. However, I had some issues with working the GPS with gloved hands, although the packaging says that you should be able to use gloved hands. I found that the bluetooth device worked well when I used it with the Scala Rider communication device. I love the mounting device that is included for the care. I think that the hardware and the support pieces are great, and that they are excellent quality. I'd say that the bikers should buy a case for the GPS. I put mine in a glove so that the glove absorbs the shock when this is in my trunk bag.

I've been working as a OTR truck driver for 4 years. My company integrated the Copilot in the Driver Tech system. It wasn't really working after the 2009 update. So that means that I went without a GPS system since late 2009. I've been using the Rand McNally trucker's atlas, along with Google Maps and company local directions. These methods work, but it takes me a bit longer to plot out my trips.
I needed a better way to track out mileage for my trips. This unit does this very easily for me. After reading the reviews of all of the truck GPS systems out there, I found this one….

I was a little iffy about this at first, because I had read good and bad reviews. But this GPS has a lovely screen. This is very similar to the other Garmins that I have used. But there have been recent updates that have improved for better user experience. The screen is made bigger, and sharper too. It also responds better to touch. I like that I can simply download a log of my travels to my computer. This is really handy when I have to turn in a mileage report. My only complaint is that the satellite reception takes a little too long when it first starts up in the morning.

After I purchased this system as a replacement for my Nuvi 760, I found that I couldn't believe the clarity! This device is almost on par with my iPhone 4 which is quite the compliment. I paid around $449.00 and I wasn't sure if it was worth it but after using it for a short time I realize that it was indeed worth every penny. When I was using my Nuvi 760 I had a serious issue with the volume which is to say I couldn't hear it when I had my radio on. This however is not true with the 3790T.

After I had used my buddy's small screen Garmin, I decided that I wanted a larger screen version. I found that it met my needs. I used it for a couple of trips and it worked alright. The traffic feature didn't pick up anything although we went through traffic jams. The unit didn't pick up any of the issues that Google traffic did.
Looking for points of interest by name can take a few moments. The places are often located hundreds of miles from my current locale.

I think it's an upgrade from the Nuvi 760. I also love that there's no pop up ads (more later)
I'm liking the larger screen, along with the increase in informatinon and its customizable interface. I like that it comes with an economy mode route. All you need to do is plug in your gas mileage and the cost of your fuel. It will calculate your fuel cost for every trip. You'll be amazed to find out just how much your trips are costing you.
I love how it allows you to set a speed limit on road that don't show one. Some of the roads aren't very well marked.

I bought a Tom Tom 1505 When my Garmin765 was stolen. Although I tried to like the Tom Tom, I just didn't. I ended up turning it back in, and getting my money back. I then went about bought the Garmin 2350LMT because I needed a good GPS for my 5k trip. I'm glad that I bought it; it came through for me just like I needed it to. The pois are useful, and the system found the addresses that I needed it to. It also recalculated my missed turns as well. The battery life is a lot better as well; the old one was only about five minutes. The Tom Tom had a better interface, but the Garmin finds the addresses and the poi's better.

Garmin has been close to might heart for quite a while, and I actually bought a number of these for my own company service vans. My technicians love them.
To say that these units have nice features would be an understatement. The Lane Assist feature will actually tell you which lane to be in when approaching intersections which actually prevents you from having to make a sudden lane change on a busy road which is actually a great help. Interestingly enough, the speed of our vehicles is tracked on the GPS unit which saves is quite a bit of trouble. We actually discovered that the GPS unit is more accurate than the speedometer in the dashboard!

I've had my Nuvi 1370T for around 2 months. Before this, I was using the Nuvi 370 for a few years. Both of these units work well. The screen on the 1370 is an upgrade from the 370. But if you need to call customer service, then gear up to wait a long time and gear up for dissatisfaction. I had to call their customer service because of a software issue. My so-called customer service rep was unhelpful and actually hostile when I asked questions. I didn't leave the call with any new information. I figured out how to resolve the issue on my own.
