Refurbished TomTom GPS Quick and Easy

Arguably the best inventions today that is essentially good for something is the portable GPS unit. Whether or not you are on a long road trip or merely heading to a new location close to home you will love having a GPS to lead you along the way! Do i have a soft spot in my heart for TomTom or something? Yeah actually, but only because it's the only brand that I've used so far.

My wife and I love heading off on weekend trips with our children to spots that we will be able to drive to. I'm the driver and my wife is the navigator, problem is she likes to sleep while I drive. There have been occasions where she's been sleeping and I have missed a turn, and several where we've been confused with the directions we released on the internet. How great it would be to have a GPS to lead us which way to go with nice massive arrows and voice prompts!

Transportable GPS have been about for some time now and just keep getting better. Like any other electronics, they are way expensive when new in the store, but now you can get a great GPS unit for rather less than you could think.

One of the first models like the refurbished TomTom One XL is still a good buy today, and it is a third of it's original cost. The great thing about GPS is you can simply update the maps thru the TomTom website so the unit truly never does become outmoded. If you are satisfied with the functionality of the unit and you do not need any of the extra features of the latest and greatest, then why pay for what you do't need?

If you're a repeat user of a portable GPS and can use all the awesome features that are currently available then your luck is in. TomTom at the moment has units such as the Go 740 Live, that will not only lead you to your destination, but you may make hands-free calls thru Bluetooth, get real time traffic, gas costs, searching powered by Google through wifi, voice recognition and more!

Why even buy a GPS? So many cellphones have it built in, what is the point? Not everyone has a telephone with GPS capabilities, so yup there are loads of us that need a real GPS unit. The cool thing about purchasing a conveyable GPS is that you don't have to pay extra monthly charges like you would if you upgraded your phone to something with GPS built in. Think about it, thirty dollars extra per month for web on your phone or an one time purchase of $100-200? And if you are wanting to save much more, you could buy a discount TomTom GPS for even less than that!

The only query that remains is what happens as more people keep getting iPhones and others such as Androids that have inbuilt GPS in the device? No need for another cartable GPS… Does this mean the end of Magellen and others? Only time will tell us for sure!
